Silicon Valley Veteran Chris Martin Named New CEO of CORESense

Track record in successful startup ventures and operations experience strengthens market leader

Martin is a high technology industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience and has served since 2007 as vice president of marketing responsible for product and market strategy. Martin succeeds the company’s entrepreneurial founder, Jason Jacobs who successfully guided the company from its beginning in 2001.

Martin takes over at CORESense at a time when retailers are recognizing the growing value of using on-demand applications to grow their businesses and control costs. CORESense helps retailers compete more effectively in the competitive retail market place through affordable access to a fully integrated and feature rich retail and ecommerce management software application.  Martin will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers, completing the launch of their point of sale and retail application, and positioning the company for sustained growth.

Prior to CORESense, Martin was vice president of marketing at several Silicon Valley startup ventures including Arcwave and RealChip Communications. Before joining RealChip, Martin served as Director of Marketing at Empowertel Networks, a visionary provider of VoIP solutions to enterprise and telecommunications customers.

Martin holds a Bachelor or Arts degree in Physics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
