Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Manager to lead all employees and functions of the Quality Assurance Department. The manager will ensure that goals are set and that the mission of the department is communicated clearly to all. The SQA Manager is responsible for identifying, analyzing, communicating defects in software found during unit acceptance, integration, regression and Beta testing. The SQA manager also facilitates the removal of defects with software development teams. This position reports to the Director of Development. Reports to: Director of Qualty Assurance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage activities of geographically diverse Quality Assurance team.
  • Evaluate software requirements and design specifications to create comprehensive test plans and procedures for all new features and products.
  • Write and execute test plans, test cases and test automation scripts to deliver highest quality software.
  • Drive the entry and exit criteria for each testing phases. This includes ensuring that unit acceptance, integration, system, performance and regression testing has been completed.
  • Perform manual QA tests as necessary.
  • Monitor, track and report test status on a scheduled interval.
  • Report and track defects to closure and report on defect trends.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective action process.
  • Responsible for team member development and the overall capability of testing resources.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with at least 3 years in a position with management responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing remote/off-short teams.
  • Experience in writing test plans, developing test strategies, implementing test strategies, stress testing, performance testing (stress, load, volume, endurance).
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience testing HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL applications.
  • Experience with Retail or Ecommerce Software Applications a plus.
  • Experience with Automated testing tools a plus.
